Baby Yoda

I don't know how your pandemic is going, but mine has been quite busy. I have still been going into the office most days so I wasn’t able to do as much binge-watching as I would have liked. I did finally get a chance to start binging some great shows in the last few weeks. One of the shows that was a must-watch for me was the Mandalorian. I was a Star Wars kid, I come from a star wars family, and yes I am a “blerd”. My sister had all of the Star Wars figures and I would beg her constantly to play with them. However, I had quite a reputation for being a rampant toy breaker, so most of the time her answer was no. It is probably for the best because she still has all of those toys intact to this day.

Well, I decided that since I didn’t have any StarWars toys to be nostalgic with, I would make my own little Baby Yoda. I searched high and low for the perfect pattern and found this great one by Beefriendscrochet on Ravelry. Scroll down for the link to this free pattern. This baby Yoda has such a sweet look, with those big eyes and his soft oversized coat. My kids were counting the days until I finished it. They wanted to know when baby Yoda was arriving. They absolutely fell in love with this little guy and now I am still without my own Star Wars toy. Maybe I’ll make something that no one else wants to play with… perhaps Jabba the Hutt? ;-)

I’ll keep thnking on that one. Until next time, may the force be with you!
