Celebrate Love with These 3 Rosy Cocktails
Whether you are celebrating Valentine’s day with the love of your life, Galentine’s day with your friends (a la Leslie Knope), or spending the weekend loving yourself, we’ve got you covered. We know that this Holiday weekend, like every other holiday this past year, is going to look a little different than last year’s. Remember, back when we used to go out to crowded restaurants or have everyone over for drinks and general merriment. Those were the days. Nonetheless, you can still enjoy a very festive Valentine’s day with this trio of yummy cocktails to take you through the entire weekend. Enjoy!
Let’s start with breakfast, or if you are like me, you slept in and are really in need of an excellent Brunch cocktail:
Strawberry Bellini
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons strawberry puree
6 oz of champagne
(Optional) 1 tablespoon of raspberry schnapps or raspberry liqueur
Directions:
1. For the berry puree, puree the strawberries in a food processor or blender until smooth. Strain to remove seeds, if necessary. Fresh or frozen berries may be used. 1 pint of berries will make about 1 cup of strained puree, enough for about 8 cocktails.
2. Spoon the berry puree into the bottom of the champagne glass.
3. Add liqueur.
4. Top with champagne.
This is a recipe you can’t make ahead, but since it only takes about five minutes to make, it is a great quick cocktail to get your day going.
So now you’ve had a fantastic brunch, and you are moving along with your day. Whether you are cuddled up watching movies on Netflix or doing a virtual hangout with your crew, the perfect afternoon cocktail is an excellent way to keep the vibes going.
