DIY Halloween Costumes: Harley Quinn, Curly Edition
Hurricane Zeta really threw off my posting schedule and I thought I would get this out earlier in the week. But, if you still haven’t decided what you want to be this Halloween, this might be the right costume for you. Just grab a few accessories from any store selling Halloween supplies. Get some hair paint wax which is now widely available from multiple brands and available in brick and mortar beauty stores, drug stores, and big-box stores like Walmart and Target. The rest of the outfit you can probably find in a closet or makeup drawer near you. :) Use this hair tutorial and you can do this last-minute DIY costume and look like you have been planning for months.
As I told you in my post last month villains are more fun. I think Harley Quinn could be classified as a supervillain; even more fun. If you don’t know Harley Quinn, she is a part of the DC Comics Universe and had an on-again-off-again relationship with the Joker. She was his psychologist in the asylum before she fell in love and joined his crew. She is my favorite psychologist turned bad guy. Don’t worry, I haven’t decided to go to the dark side myself. Just having a little fun for the day.
For the hair, I again used the Blue and Red Mofajang hair paint wax. I ordered the shirt from Amazon and got the fishnets and makeup at Walmart. For the rest of the costume, I used shorts and a baseball bat that we already had at home. Lastly, I found several awesome Harley Quinn Make-up tutorials on Pinterest that were great for beginners like me.
Hope you all enjoy this tutorial and have a safe and Happy Halloween!
