Welcome to Naturally Hooked Crochet

My mother taught me how to crochet when I was very young. She loved to make afghans and taught me her favorite pattern. After making my first blanket I never really crocheted again until I was expecting my first child. I wanted to make one of those beautiful blankets like my mother had made time and time again. Trying to pick up where I left off as more difficult than I thought. Thanks to YouTube University and many crocheting websites such as Ravelry.com, I have really enjoyed picking it back up and discovering the many ways that I can expand my crocheting skills. I have learned to crochet so many unexpected things and I plan to share all of them and the patterns that inspired me with you here.

Here is the blanket that restarted it all.
