A Deliciously Simple White Christmas Sangria, for National Sangria Day

Across the nation each year, on December 20th, National Sangria Day recognizes a wine and fresh fruit combination that brings a fresh celebration to the table. You guys know I love a god sangria mainly because the combinations are endless. And they are almost effortless to make. Throw together some wine, some carbonation, a little liquor, and a ton of fruit, and you’ve got it.

For this particular Sparkling Christmas Sangria, I wanted to join the tastes and look of Christmas. This heavily helped my decision for ingredients. I have got to tell you guys this turned out even better than I could have imagined. The taste of these particular flavors combined really gives the essence of the season. I will tell you this pitcher will not last the day in our house.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 bottle of Sparkling White Wine

  • 1- 1.5 cups of Apple Brandy

  • 2 cups of Apple Cider

  • 1 Cup of Fresh Cranberries

  • 1 Sliced Green Apple

  • A Few Sprigs of Fresh Rosemary

  • A few Cinnamon Sticks

For the rim:

  • Light Corn Syrup

  • Coconut Flakes

Directions:

  • Rim your wine glass lightly with Corn Syrup, then dip the rim into the bowl of coconut flakes all the way around for the festive look of snow.

  • Set the glass aside and add all other ingredients into a large pitcher.

  • Stir ingredients and place them into the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

  • Pour into your snowy glass and enjoy. This recipe couldn’t be simpler

For my Mocktail Drinkers:

If you would like to make this particular drink without alcohol, you can exchange the sparkling wine for sparkling cider and replace the Apple Brandy for White Cranberry juice, then you will want to top with some club soda or seltzer to to help with carbonation.

Welch’s has some awesome new choices for sparkling grape juice.
